Our customer is an Icelandic energy company providing electricity, geothermal water, cold water, carbon storage and optic network.  

We are looking for a Planview AdaptiveWork (ex Clarizen) Administrator who will be responsible for administering, configuring, and maintaining the company’s AdaptiveWork platform that supports project and portfolio management across multiple subsidiaries.

The role involves managing system configuration, workflows, integrations, and reporting, as well as ensuring stability, data quality, and continuous improvement of an evolving Clarizen setup. Close collaboration with business stakeholders, PMs, and IT/data teams is expected to support a maintainable, scalable, and standardized platform.

Product ecosystem: Planview AdaptiveWork (ex Clarizen), APIs/REST integrations, JSON, project & portfolio management tooling, reporting dashboards, SaaS platform configuration.

• Administer and configure Clarizen, including users, roles, permissions, profiles, and business rules

• Ensure environment stability, monitor system performance, and manage ongoing cleanup and standardization of partially inconsistent configurations

• Configure and refine project workflows, approval gates, lifecycle stages, and automation logic

• Evaluate, simplify, and rationalize existing customizations to reduce technical debt and ensure maintainability

• Support and maintain integrations between Clarizen and internal systems (via APIs, middleware, or import/export processes)

• Troubleshoot system behavior, data flow issues, automation failures, and unexpected configuration side effects

• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports used for project and portfolio tracking

• Contribute to data quality initiatives and ensure consistency across projects and organizational units

• Document configurations, design decisions, workflows, and provide clear user guidance

• Collaborate closely with stakeholders, understand requirements, and translate them into practical and supportable Clarizen configurations

• Push back on unnecessary complexity and ensure best practices are followed across the platform

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

• Strong hands‑on experience with Clarizen (Planview AdaptiveWork) administration and configuration

• Solid understanding of project and portfolio management processes

• Experience working with evolving, partially implemented systems (not only greenfield implementations)

• Basic to intermediate programming/scripting knowledge (APIs, JSON, automation, integrations)

• Experience supporting system integrations (REST APIs, middleware, data exchange setups)

• Ability to assess the technical impact of configuration changes and avoid non‑maintainable solutions

• Strong analytical skills combined with a pragmatic, simplicity‑focused mindset

• Ability to work independently in environments with limited documentation

• Comfortable communicating with non‑technical stakeholders across multiple subsidiaries

• Able to challenge requirements constructively when proposals create unnecessary complexity

• English: Upper‑Intermediate or higher
