Inno2Grid, a Corporate Digital Venture Builder backed by Schneider Electric and Deutsche Bahn, partnered with HBM to develop a comprehensive platform for smart energy management.
This platform, known as HEMSlogic Gateway, connects various home electronic devices, including solar panels and energy storage systems, enabling real-time energy optimization and compliance with German EnWG §14a standards.
The collaboration helped Inno2Grid rapidly scale their in-house capacity and expertise, delivering an MVP and ongoing improvements to their cloud-based, IoT-enabled energy management system.
Inno2Grid needed to quickly scale their internal engineering capacity to build an MVP for their cloud-based smart home energy management platform.
The platform required the integration of thousands of IoT edge devices, real-time energy data processing, and an intuitive user interface for both web and mobile applications.
"HBM is a trusted partner for us for many years now.
They help us to leverage and quickly scale our in-house capacity and expertise in a way that we could never imagine without them.
The standard of integrity, reliability, and customer focus that HBM constantly lives by – even in times of biggest crisis – truly impresses us and makes them one of our most-valued suppliers."
Head of Digital Solutions inno2grid GmbH
HBM provided a team of experts, including back-end, front-end, mobile developers, and DevOps engineers, to work alongside Inno2Grid's internal team.
The project aimed to create an embedded system for real-time energy management, optimizing energy consumption through integration with solar panels, energy storage, and other home electronic devices.
HBM's team was responsible for developing the software backend, implementing microservices, and designing cross-platform user interfaces for the HEMSlogic Gateway.
